Entering the fray simply as the embodied spirit of Ken, he would have heated matches with and against Ryu. He would also take part in what might be the most violent match in Hoodslam history against Akuma, defeating him in Violent Ken form.

Very notably, he would go undefeated alongside Ryu in the Top of the SkyDreamers Miracle eXtacy Cup Tournament until losing in the finals against El Chupacabra and Virgil Flynn III. Ryu would then split away, becoming Hidden Gem Matt Carlos.

Soon after, from his official press release: He thinks he’s cute, he knows he’s sexy! It’s the Heartbreak Ken! HBKen got his name being a fighter on the streets of San Antonio USA. When the pandemic ended, the dojo had dissolved and HBKen emerged from a cocoon animorphed into Joe DeSoul, one half of The Lost Treasures along with – again – Matt Carlos. The two would soon become 2X Intergalactic Tag Team Champions, defending the titles successfully against the Stoner Brothers in a Lost Treasures Match at Fuck the Fans 2022.
