This FRIDAY MAY 24TH – maybe our favorite name for a show all year, featuring the Hoodslam returns of the Party Manster, the Handsome Devil himself, Anthony Butabi!  Also, you may know him from his extra work on the hit series “The Good Life”, famous dick wrestler and King of Dong Style Joey Ryan will be in the house, and he challenges for the Best Athlete in the East Bay Golden Fannypacks against the best librarian in wrestling (sorry Leva and Petey) the reigning and defending Richard Shhhnary!  Being defended as well is the greatest prize in all of wrestling, forged from the souls of a 1000 dead wrestlers, the Golden Gig!  The Man who Holds the Golden Gig Sensei Joey Nuggs will defend against his former protege, #bigguyshit Brutal Rob Hands!

Also, like 4 other matches.

 

 

 

June 1st, a special SATURDAY Hoodslam!  We’re taking a friday night off – our last for the year – on May 31st, but the very next day we are back at the Oakland Metro Operahouse for “HOODSLAM presents SEXY GOOD TIME WRESTLE SHOW: Saturday Night Hoodslam Masters – Press Start to Continue”.  …seriously?  that’s ALL part of the friggin title?  Yes, loosely titled after the obscure capcom pro wrestling super nintendo game from 1993 (fun fact, in Japan its called ‘Muscle Bomber:  The Body Explosion’.  Rad) its our annual tradition to all things video gamey.  Featuring all your favorite Hoodslammers cosplaying as characters from 8 bit and up, and a special burlesque performance!  Feel free to dress appropriately, Hoodslam’s a fucking party ya’ll.

 

 

 

June 7th, the first Friday of June!  It’s a special day as we are graced with the presence of former WWE US and Tag Team Champion, the first ever IWGP Intercontinental Champion, featured on CNN, host of his own podcast and TEDxTalk Presenter MVP!  War is hell…

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The 2nd Friday of every month is Hoodslam’s sister company , GUILTY LETHAL ACTION MAYHEM!  Every GLAM is hosted by the Link to the Future Anton Voorhees and possibly one day a female co host who doesn’t cancel last minute on us for the UMF time.  Also, from the 5th dimension, live music by THE Oinga Boinga!  Last event we saw this mysterious figure emerge from the Sun and Moon Door.  Trish Adora, after visiting the other side, has warned all of us to never open the door again.  However, Heather Monroe is the current keeper of the Sun Key AND the Moon Key… and last month after a debate over What is Real with the Infamous Lady K she realized for the first time ever that she DOES believer!  What happens June 14th? IDONTKNOWWWWWWWWW

 

For some odd reason this GLAM will also feature former WCW Superstar Kaz Hayashi!

 

JUNE 21st!  Remember Jet Grind Radio on dreamcast?  Man that was a cool game.  The art, the music.  Really fresh stuff.  Anyway, this show isn’t about that.  We just liked the art style for our poster.  It’s gonna be wrestling.  Maybe the best wrestling ever.  It is the date of the Hoodslam equinox, the mid point by which we catch first glimpse of the meandering melancholy whimsy of gods destined but desireless to define our destiny.  Cool game, though.

results: GLAM – Down the Rabbit Hole 5/10/19

 

Okay, we are boarding that door up!

Where to begin? I guess at the beginning. The night started off simple enough. We had a Stoner U showcase match where Rick Scott Stoner defeated BARTman.

Then Oinga Boinga welcomed the Oakland Metro Operahouse to GLAM – Down the Rabbit Hole and brought out our host The LINK to the Future Anton Voorhees to give us all a recap of the first 5 months of this crazy GLAM adventure. From women to men to Dragon Ball to childbirth to proposals to doors to other worlds… we’ve done a lot in just 5 months.

But down to business!

Vulcana Pro Wrestler def The Great Bambina after turning the canvas to lava and power bombing her onto it.

Lisa Lace / Shakira Spears and the rest of the Intergalactic Tag Team Champions, Da Squaaaaaaaaaad came out and called out Viva Van. Viva then let them know she found herself a partner… the biggest and baddest she could find, Brutal Rob Hands. However, the numbers game was still too great and Da Squaaaaaaaaaad won the match against Viva and Brutal Rob.

Buggy Nova and her son Charles Montgomery Nova came out to face Simone Sherie. Little Chucky ended up getting involved in the match and took a superplex off the top rope which brought out his OTHER mother Nurse Ratchet. With a brief break of focus Simone was able to roll up Buggy for the win.
After the match Buggy took Ratchet’s arrival to mean that the undead medical professional accepted her proposal and they shared an embrace… and then Ratchet left her again. Family is hard.

Heather Monroe came out for her debate with her usual disinterested attitude ready to “get this over with” but was adamant that Aleyah Mia Garcia was not to officiate it. So we let the fans decide. Out came Lady K ( Katarina Leigh Waters ) now in possession of BOTH the #SunKey and #MoonKey since they were left in the Sun/Moon Door after the last show. The Debate was on. Heather made some convincing arguments about why everything GLAM has done has been stupid and unprofessional and “not real” but the fans didnt seem to buy in. Lady K then made very good counter points about how GLAM itself was a world of fantasy and endless possibilities that were all very much real. Fans sided with Lady K (Shocker) and Lady K wins the debate.
Afterward Lady K informs us of her desire to open the door but needs a partner to unlock it with her. Heather suddenly seemed all too excited to be a part of the plan and gladly took one of the keys. When suddenly a wild Trish Adora appeared through the door! Trish looks somewhat terrified by her journey and tells us all we cant go in the door and we need to lock it. Lady K takes exception to this and hands Heather the other Key to argue with Trish… and Heather seemed very very delighted to have both keys.
And then a match happened!

Heather Monroe defeated Trish Adora and Lady K to now be the Sole Owner of the Sun and Moon Keys!
And then she just left… didnt go through the door but left it unlocked. Unnerving.

Main Event Time!
The Villainess Vipress def ‘Ultra Girl’ Brittany Wonder in the craziest turn of events so far. Just when it seemed Britt had the match won the Sun/Moon Door opened and out stepped a mysterious woman. She entered the ring and force pushed Brittany across the ring. She then seemed to… Possess? Empower? Brainwash? Vipress and Vipress damn near took Brittany’s head off with a kick to the skull.

And they did not leave back through that door. Whoever that powerful entity was, she is now here with us to stay and she has Vipress on her side.

What will happen next???

Featuring the Stoner Brothers, Big B, Richard Shhhnary, DARK Sheik and Anton Voorhees The CAUTION, The Nasty Boys, Jr Rikishi Fatu, all the Knokx Pro superstars and MUCH MORE still TBA.
 
We were there last year, and there’s nothing like it. Two Ring Double Chaos! Stars up the whazoo! It’s a PG event, but they also had booze!
 
Join us, go, be merry, watch the wrestle, connect on a level you didn’t know existed….

WRESTLE-1 ALLIANCE partners with HOODSLAM to find YOU

 

The Wrestle-1 company in Japan is sending the expertly stellar Kaz Hayashi with Innovator of the Selfie Sonny Onoo to determine who from the United States should come train with them for a week in Japan. Thats right, 1/3rd of the Jung Dragons, member of the original Kaientai DX, possibly cousin of Mike Hayashi will be there to evaluate your goods.

It’s 110 to tryout, plus they demand you buy a shirt for 10-15 dollars. Stoner U students and familiars can reach out directly to the right people (if you’re a student or familiar, you don’t have to ask who) and receive a discounted price for participation.

IF YOU PLAN ON ATTENDING: be passport ready, and maybe have some cash for a ticket to Japan saved up, cuz they ain’t doin that part. What they are offering – free training, room and board for a week out in…i dunno, Tokyo?… Japan for two applicants per dojo. That means you (and maybe a friend) will be learning how to work from former WCW, NJPW, Michinoku Pro, THE WORLD experienced wrestlers to become a participating part of Wrestle-1.

We know some people have fallen sour on bay area try outs recently, so HOODSLAM will be doing its own separate evaluation, and as a reward to those participating will also book a tag match (playaz) featuring many of yall THAT VERY NIGHT. Post tryout, its GLAM at the Oakland Metro Operahouse, and though it’s traditionally a womens wrestling showcase, f it, we make the rules, its whatever we want. We’ll even pay ya for it.

We’re not trying to have 50 people there. We don’t want everyone to get 3 minutes. We want a legit evaluation. We’re doing it for yall, not our pockets. Spots will be limited, don’t sleep on your dreams because you’ll miss them when you’re awake….yeahhhhh…

The Oakland Metro Operahouse has reserved April 26th and May 31st for some special guests since before we did weekly, so we won’t be doing a show this friday.  Maybe we’ll replay a thing or something…. HOWEVERTHOUGHALSO you can see some Hoodslammers this weekend out of norcal if you proceed with CAUTION Friday in Burbank, CA for Wrestling Pro Wrestling and Sunday in Indianapolis, Indiana for Bizarro Lucha!  They have social media and stuff, go look at it if you’ve got time…
